Last Tuesday, 28 February 2023, the first MyPath webinar on implementation science was held. This marks the launch of this webinar series, which will run throughout the project.
The implementation study is a complex operation involving many individuals across nine clinical centres in different European countries, each with its own organisational practices, infrastructures, and political and cultural contexts. Therefore, WP3 and WP4 are organising the implementation science webinar series to engage all researchers and clinicians involved in the study and ensure continuous knowledge exchange as the study progresses. During this first webinar, participants discussed the potential barriers to successful implementation in their clinical environments and the potential solutions which could help them overcome these barriers.
With 39 participants, an inspirational talk by Dr. Peter Hall, and many insightful group discussions, the workshop initiated an important dialogue between clinical centres on the future implementation process of MyPath and the opportunities and challenges it brings.
