MyPath Presented at the ITAPA Health & Care Conference in Slovakia

Last week, Prof. Stein Kaasa visited Slovakia, where he met with representatives of the Health Committee in the Slovak Parliament and had the opportunity to present the MyPath innovation.

During the same visit, he participated at the ITAPA Health & Care Conference in Slovakia, where he was invited to take part in a dedicated session on the future of palliative care. He was invited as a keynote speaker in the panel “Data as a Compass: The Path to Higher Quality and Sustainability of Palliative Care.”

The panel highlighted how data can act as a compass for transforming health services. As described in the session abstract, “data are not merely numbers; they are a key instrument for justice, efficiency, and above all, dignity at the end of life.” The discussion focused on the need to move from fragmented information structures toward an integrated system where the quality of palliative care can be measured, rewarded and guaranteed.

In his keynote presentation, Prof. Kaasa demonstrated how MyPath supports this transformation through structured patient-centred care pathways. He showcased how the MyPath solution enables real-time insight into patients’ needs and provides a foundation for more personalised and individually tailored care.

The invitation to speak at the ITAPA Health & Care Conference reflects the growing international interest in MyPath and its potential to contribute to quality improvement in patient-centred care and palliative care beyond the current study sites.
