On 17 December 2025, the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) Oncology Research Centre (ORC) held its annual internal seminar, ORC Day 2025, at the Landmark Plateau of UZ Brussel. This year’s event focused on Personalised Oncology: Innovation in Cancer Treatment and Care, bringing together researchers and clinicians to showcase ongoing work and discuss future directions in cancer medicine.
During the pitch session, Femke Van Landschoot (VUB) was awarded the pitch prize for her presentation entitled “Empowering Cancer Patients with PROMs: Implementing MyPath at UZ Brussel”. The pitch highlighted the MyPath project’s contribution to integrating patient-reported outcome measures into routine oncology care, reinforcing the role of patient-centred data in personalised cancer treatment.
The recognition at ORC Day 2025 underlines the relevance of MyPath within the VUB oncology research ecosystem and its potential to support innovation in cancer care at UZ Brussel.
