Tonje Lundeby from Oslo University Hospital (OUS) represented MyPath at the meeting of the newly established Quality of Life – Patient Centred Care (QoL-PCC) Cluster, an initiative launched by the European Commission and coordinated by the Istituto Tumori / EUonQoL project. The QoL-PCC Cluster brings together EU-funded projects working to improve patient-centred care and quality of life in healthcare through collaboration and shared policy frameworks.
During the meeting, representatives from the participating projects gave short presentations on how their projects contribute to the Cluster’s objectives, the challenges they face in engaging with policymakers and the public and how common frameworks could enhance their impact. Tonje presented MyPath, highlighting how the project’s digital tools and personalised approaches support the integration of patient-reported outcomes in cancer care.
The meeting also included updates on Cluster activities such as annual patient and public involvement (PPI) events, multi-stakeholder engagement and the development of a joint policy brief. A discussion followed to define a common work plan and next steps for collaboration among the projects, which include PREFERABLE II, SERENITY, EU Navigate, PAL-CYCLES, PAINLESS, INSPIRE, RELEVIUM, and EUonQoL.
The participation of MyPath in the QoL-PCC Cluster reinforces the project’s commitment to improving patient-centred care and ensuring that patient experiences and outcomes are central to clinical research and policy development in oncology.
