The 4th General Assembly in Brasov, Romania
On June 11th-12th June 2025, the consortium partners of MyPath gathered for the 4th General Assembly in the historic city of Brașov, Romania. The consortium meeting was hosted by Hospice Casa Sperantei (HCS) at the Palliative Medicine Study Center.
Hospice Casa Speranței, founded in 1992, was the first organization to introduce palliative care to Romania. In 1997, the organization established the Centre for Palliative Care Studies (Studii Paliative) to train healthcare professionals, with over 50,000 participants to date. The organization is also known for its creative fundraising efforts, including the iconic teddy bear campaign to support pediatric hospice care, which has reached over 100,000 children and families.

Focus of the consortium meeting
The General Assembly opened with words of welcome from HCS and Oslo University Hospital (OUS), followed by an overview of progress across content development, ICT readiness, and site-specific implementation. Discussions focused on shared challenges and upcoming priorities across the consortium, with the aim of preparing the project centres for clinical implementation.
The first day featured a hands-on workshop on clinical implementation logistics and a creative session led by the University of Edinburgh (UEDIN) exploring contextual needs under the theme “Making the invisible visible.” During the workshop, each centre identified barriers to successful implementation and started discussing strategies to overcome them. The afternoon included an implementation tutorial with OUS and DNV Imatis, including co-creation exercises and a practical run-through of the digital solution.
The second day concentrated on the upcoming implementation study, with group discussions on data collection, management, and health economics. The consortium also explored ways to enhance dissemination, public and patient involvement stakeholder engagement in a brainstorming session led by accelCH, ESMO, and EAPC. The meeting concluded with an introduction to EC Booster services by accelCH and planning of next steps with input from all partners.
The Brasov General Assembly demonstrated strong collaboration among partners as MyPath moves toward real-world deployment and impact across European clinical sites.
