The EU-funded research initiative MyPath is happy to announce the release of its new explainer video, now available on YouTube: Watch Here. The explainer video introduces viewers to the core mission and innovative approach of MyPath: transforming cancer care through personalised, patient-centred pathways.
As cancer becomes a growing concern across Europe, with one in every two people expected to face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, the need for holistic, patient-tailored care has never been more urgent. Although treatments have advanced, many patients continue to experience challenges that are often overlooked, affecting both their physical and emotional wellbeing.
The MyPath solution is a digital platform designed to empower cancer patients to actively participate in their care by sharing their symptoms, needs, and personal preferences in real time. This information is made directly accessible to healthcare teams, helping doctors and nurses deliver care that truly aligns with each patient’s unique situation.
Funded under the EU Horizon Europe programme, the MyPath project aims to implement electronic, patient-centred care pathways in oncology centres across Europe. By studying and adapting to the organisational realities of healthcare systems, MyPath brings the concept of patient-centred care out of theory and into daily clinical practice.
Co-created with patients and healthcare providers, MyPath ensures that its tools and processes are grounded in real-world needs. It’s not only about improving care, but also about doing so in a way that is scalable, integrated, and truly transformative.
As highlighted in the new explainer video, MyPath offers a hopeful vision for cancer care. One where healthcare teams and patients collaborate, where treatment plans are truly individualised, and where quality of life becomes a top priority. Together, we are building a future where every patient’s voice matters.
A special thanks to DNV Imatis for their creative work in producing the explainer video, and to all MyPath partners for their valuable contributions and insightful feedback throughout its development.
